Kids Knowit: Learning network for children by educators

Wednesday, February 24th, 2010

Hola Hola Jumpiteerz! As you know we’re all about learning and we want to introduce you to the Kids Knowit . There are a lot of sites out there that are a repository of information but don’t have much interactivity, this website in particular contains educational content for kids in not just video format but also text and does so by connecting to other networks.

so the content in here is of real value to parents who their children to learn new stuff. The only thing we don’t like is that the videos can’t be embedded like YouTube but we’ve cropped some screenshots below of a so you can get an idea of what this is about.

New children’s learning activities added

Thursday, May 7th, 2009

Hey Jumpiteerz! We’ve been adding new learning activities to the website.

In the past two weeks we added fun facts about the world in 2009 where dates such May 10 is for Mother’s Day but also June 1 is the International Children’s Day as well as other things you probably didn’t know.

We also added a complete list of fun facts about breakfast page that has facts such as:

  • the word cereal comes from Cerealia, the name of ancient Roman ceremonies that honored Ceres, the goddess of grain.
  • The word “breakfast” literally means to break fast. As we know, fasting is the act of not eating over a period of time. We may not think of it this way, but we virtually fast while we sleep — even if we dream about food. The act of eating breakfast is literally breaking the fast!
  • Desayuno is Spanish for breakfast – just drop that into this morning’s conversation.

That’s it Jumpiteerz!

Jump into the learning activities page for more fun facts and crafts.
